Stormy Sunday

While we were out today, we passed some signs of yesterday's storm. The river was really high.

For some reason the geese wouldn't go in it. They stayed on the grass.

Several large trees were down.

I spotted some color amid the damage.

The tree trucks were out everywhere.

A tree was down in front of this house. I think the house is so cute and unusual.

Glad you are ok. What a terrible storm all across your area.
So sad that lives were lost. The flood damage will be hard to recover from. Stay safe.

You got it worse then we did here in GA where we live.
I love the green house.
I love the quote too - how true it is - we worry about little things when there are really big things that could happen.

Terrible storm for so many. My heart breaks for those who have nothing to go back to. The lives lost is the worst. You can’t replace human lives. So sad.

On a lighter note, happy you’re all okay. πŸ‘πŸ» on the green house!

Looks like quite a storm passed through by you.
Maybe the geese didn't want to get swept away!!

Amazing how easily Mama Earth takes down trees.

I hope no damage was done around your place from the storms, Ginny. It's sad when the trees have taken a fall from the winds and rain. That little house is so charming. I love the color and everything about it. I like the white trim against the green. The Canadian geese are sweet. I always love seeing them.

Happy October Ginny!

Tragic storm and loss of lives! So glad that you caught the tail of it? Virginia and other older states have some huge beautiful trees.

I am glad you didn't have a lot of damage in your area. What a storm!

It was a tragic storm for many people. Glad you escaped the brunt of it.
The geese are probably being smart and sensing danger of being swept away if they go in the water.

That was a great quote also. Sorry for the delete.

That looks like quite a lot of damage. I hope no one was hurt. That house is sure unique...if we had the address we could type it in and see if it has been for sale any time recently and if it had we might could see inside. I sure would love to see what it looks like. Sometimes a house will look so good on the outside but then you see the inside and hate it. Or vice versa.
