It's been snowing again, for the last two days. The first picture is across the street, a wet snow. Remember my post about how the gutters were weighed down with ice and coming loose? Well, much of that ice has melted now and some gutters are completly down. These are some of the latest pictures. I do feel bad for these people, but I also put it in perspective. These homes have no gutters. The Chileans and Haitians have no homes. So in the scheme of things, a fallen gutter is such a minor blip on the radar of life. Cracked roads, dead fish, collapsed roofs - it's really nothing compared to what others are going through. A little perspective goes a long way.
"Therefore we do not lose heart...for our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that outweighs them all. 2 Cor. 4:17

I know what you mean... I keep reminding myself of the same thing!
That says it all, Ginny.
I love your header photo.
You've done a wonderful job of putting things in perspective.
FYI: on my site everything that I post that is not credited to someone else is written by me and ALL of my headers are my own making....I get bored easily and love to change them up.
Perspective is always good...especially allowing what weighs on us to rest before Him for He cares...no matter how small and then we set our gaze where He desires.
Wonderful Ginny... We all need to put things in perspective, don't we???? You did a great job with this one!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
I like your perspective!! We have so much to be thankful for, don't we? Thanks for the reminder!
You are so right Ginny, thank you for putting it into perspective. We don't realize sometimes just how lucky we are.

amen Sista, you are so right, compared to Haiti and Chili we are so blessed.
You make an excellent point! One of the reasons I keep a daily gratitude list at Small Reflections and Blog my Blessings on Sundays is to remind myself how fortunate I am no matter what might be happening in my life. Have I mentioned how much I love the snowy photo in your header ... it's beautiful.
Hugs and blessings,
