The Scariest

This house gets my vote as the scariest in the neighborhood. They have the same things out every year, and add a new item each year. We celebrate fall, but not Halloween. I prefer the light rather than the dark.

I was walking in the night And I saw nothing scary,

For I have never been afraid of anything. Not very.

 ~Dr. Seuss

I'm with you, I like fall much better than scary things.

Yeah, I rather not celebrate with all scary stuff looming here and there...

Even when I do put out Halloween decorations, I prefer the cute stuff instead of the creepy ghoulish things. Personally the half a body handing from the roof is just overboard for me.

That verse is one that truly brought me to the Lord. I had never read the Bible with any kind of seriousness until I read that verse one day. I thought, if this is what Jesus tells us, I’m in.

A mighty amen to that, Ginny.

Who is Mad Anthony Wayne? Maybe I don't want to know!

I just love fall colors, too...

Every time I see this house I think about all the money that they have wasted putting that stuff out there. Those things are really really expensive I look at them when I go to Home Depot and I think oh my word. I'm with you I like the fall not the Halloween tart. The only thing we ever celebrated on Halloween was just trick or treating when we were kids and it was just put on a mask and go from door-to-door and get candy it there was nothing else involved.

That is some imaginative Halloween decorating! We have a few houses like that around here, too!

I like fall but I kind of like Halloween too - they sure did go to a lot of work. I think it was festive. I don't like all the black stuff for Halloween - like cemeteries and things like that.

yes...very scary and I'm guessing it really is at night. I too, prefer the lighter of side of things. No Halloween decorations here. Only pumpkins and they are not even carved.

I am with you. I don’t celebrate halloween. I have to admit that I am waiting for that day to be over so we can see happy things, like Christmas decorations .

We don't celebrate Halloween either though I am always interested in how people decorate their homes. We always recognize the ones with children around here as theirs are the most decorative. I used to make Halloween cookies for our son and his friends when he was still at school, and even had an annual Halloween party, as did all the mothers in our old neighborhood, but I never really took to Halloween myself. My Mother-in-law loved Thanksgiving. It was a very special time for her to have all the family members back home. I love Christmas, it is a very special time for me in many ways, memories of helping my Mother to decorate, paper streamers everywhere and balloons hanging from the ceiling and decorating the Christmas tree with all our special ornaments. Christmas services and Carols. I play Carols starting at the beginning of December.

Oh those are too scary! And imagining a box packed with these scary dolls after Halloween is over makes me shudder, too...!
