The Stones

They were going to build this church from bricks. But one member offered to pay the difference if they used stone. They said that the stones are like people, each one is different! This speaks to inclusiveness.

And here we are in the sanctuary.

And yet some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples!” Jesus replied, “I tell you, if these stop speaking, the stones will cry out!”

Luke 19

it is beautiful both inside and outside and what a wonderful thing for that person to do, i love the stone.. once a man donated money to build a steeple on top of our church. before they could find someone to build it, they found we needed a new roof, the man kindly said used the steeple money for the roof, we did and never did get a steeple. instead Bob built a stunning cross for the outside. the church did not look like a church. that was in 1997, the wood for the cross was 300.00 but it was beautiful..

It is so beautiful, I really love the stonework, but I wish it had stained glass windows.

Beautiful-beautiful-beautiful!

And replacing the bricks with stones. Mega **cha-ching**!!

I'm guessing there were major benefactors for this entire project cos you just don't hear of new Catholic churches, of this magnitude, being built in this country today. I'm glad there were and I'm glad it was.
