I'm a Winner!

Yesterday was freezing cold, with a wicked icy wind that cut right through you. And we had to go out and do some shopping. Neither of us felt too well, Phil was just diagnosed with a bacterial infection, but things had been getting backed up, so off we went. Brrrr. But I was brightened up considerably and kept warm with this new scarf, isn't it pretty? I LOVE the cheery color! In fact, I was so taken with the vision that I had become that I was even taking pictures of myself in the little car mirror that flips down from the visor, as you can see in the header. O.K. I admit that I got just a bit carried away, but I am a winner!! I won this scarf in a blog giveaway from my friend Stephanie! She has a delightful blog that you can check out HERE. She knits such lovely creations, and I have always wanted something of hers. Thank you again, Stephanie, you have warmed my body and my heart!! Wednesday night it's to be 13 degrees!

God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding...The tempest comes out from it's chamber, the cold from the driving winds. The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen." Job 37

That scarf is perfect for you. It's your color. I'm a winner too since your winning gave me nice views of you this morning. The shot in the car visor mirror cracked me up. Wish we were meeting for coffee to stave off the chill.

Best,
Bonnie

Very pretty, Ginny--and I'll bet it feels good in THIS horrible weather. When I first started blogging, I won alot of giveaways. I even offered one myself. Then I realized that that is not why "I" want to blog... Some people love them--and that is fine. BUT--I didn't want to take someone's gift unless I had some giveaways in response (which I did not want to do, after that one time)... SO--it was easier for me to get out of that totally. BUT--I do love your scarf.
Hugs,
Betsy

Congratulations on winning and what a great prize. Love that color. The picture in the mirror is something I would do...lol
I have to thank you for the comment you left on my blog about how I couldn't be more than in my 30's. You made my day. I'll be 49 next march but some days by the time I get home from work, or after doing a boat load of painting and other things, I feel more like 70...lol

I seriously like the header, Ginny. I figured that was you when I matched the scarf colors up. TeeHee. A little raspberry rose color in a girl's life sure brightens things up.

Oh, and the thing I find most interesting about St. Luke is that though best known as a physician and healer and patron of doctors, he was also an artist and is protector and inspiration for artists as well.

In answer to the question you posed to Denise Nesbitt, I DID know that one: Go Now by the moody Blues, when Denny Laine, later of Paul McCartney and Wings, was still with the group.

This was the Bugis fountain in Singapore, my kids went to the water like you described. My husband wasn't pleased, he said the water was dirty.

I think kids in Auckland went into this fountain too in Summer.
