The Prize

Look what I got in the mail, I won a prize!! These are such beautiful cards, I love them!! I won a giveaway from Deborah's blog, What Matters Most Is kindness. The first picture shows how beautifully they came wrapped, and the rest are pictures I took of the cards. My favorite is the last one. Deborah's best friend Penny Ellen has cancer and is fighting for her life. So Deb started this shop of beautiful hand made cards and T-shirts, and a percentage of each item sold will go to the group that supports Penny's type of cancer. You can see the shop be clicking HERE. Paul talked quite a bit about the biggest prize there is:

"But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:13

I will not be able to visit many, if any, blogs today. I am watching my granddaughter in the morning, and going out of town when she leaves. But I will catch up when I get back!!

What beautiful cards, Ginny. Perfect for YOU. I'm going to Deb's site right now.

Looking forward to a fun drive tomorrow. We actually drove in snow today. This is a very big deal since I don't remember the last time I drove in snow. I may hve been 12!!

I5 is open but we will need chains as we travel through the Siskyus and pass Mt. Shasta. Once we get to Oregon, it will be clear sailing.

I am going to have lots and lots of pictures of snow!!!!

I love your cards! I love history. Any form. Art is one. I love the header also. My mom used to have an old typewriter. I'd kill to have it now.

And congrats on the win! That's always fun.

Hi there..congrats- these are so pretty- at first glance, I thought the header maybe you or these were family photos. The internet has sure contributed to my procrastinating as far as real cards and letters go! It's awful..I knew I had to write this lady for the longest time (she doesn't do the blogging thing), so I ended up shutting everything off and heading over to the table to WRITE a real letter- with a card that sat for another week!! My bird is getting old, so as I type- he's sitting on my left thumb closing his lids (lol).. Well, have a wonderful break- undoubtedly- something she said funny or precious will be lingering with you on your way to town.
I stayed up late trying to put my silly post together but I was getting too distracted until I couldn't keep my eyes open...

Ginny,
They convert the cemeteries into apartment blocks for the living. In Singapore, the graves don't belong to you for ever. After some time, you have to exhume and then cremate the remains. Karin, do google it, I googled before.
