That purple one looks like a battle! Cool pics!
You live in a busy plane corridor!! We don't see that many crossing each other! Love the pigeon trail! Too funny!
That last picture took me aback.... Didn't know if that was a 'special' kind of airplane or not.... ha ha... Glad you said it was not your picture....
When I see jet trails all across the sky each day, I wonder how those big jets keep from hitting one another. I know that they are not near each other--but sometimes I wonder!!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Hi Ginny, I'm a sky watcher, too. Love your photos and that last one looks like the pigeon is leaving a trail...what a bird!! Ha! I've got a pic on my next post that shows some jet trails. They are a fairly common sight here for some reason. Have a good Wednesday!
Slow down as in blogging as well? If so, I understand..have thought of posting a pretty song in relation to that. Strange, I keep hearing those are chem trails (chemical trails)..I don't know what to think, but yes, I've always thought they were neat! Well the birds are soo cool perched up there on that building!! The one in flight is really cool!
You've got some busy skies Ginny. I really like the ones with the little puffy clouds, the clouds almost look like birds flying. The one of the pigeon coming in for a landing is hilarious.
I hope the sign you got to slow down is nothing too serious. You two take care of yourselves.
We don't get to see too many of these jet trails where I live. Your photos are spectacular...as always! Love the last shot! Too funny!!
Hmmmmm....wonder if one of those jet trails was mine. :)
Isn't that the neatest thing? I remember standing at a gas pump in Nashville and hearing my Amateur Radio calling "CQ, CQ, CQ..." When I responded it was a fellow ham operator and co-pilot of a jet at 36,000 feet, asking if I could see the con-trail of the jet he was flying overhead. Quite an experience for me.
BTW - that's a fantastic shot of the pigeon - looks like he was leaving his own contrail! ☺
I never would've thought to photograph jet trails. These are fun!
I love these pictuers, trails are interesting to see.
I love the last one.
I hope all is okay when you spoke of the sign you both received to slow down.
GOD bless you and keep you safe.
I like watching those jet trails too--and have for a long time. There are lots of them here at the "crossroads of America". Hope all is well with you and Phil!!!!!
Best,
Bonnie
Intriguing collection. I must be watching too much violent TV. My first thought was a weapon had been aimed at the pigeon and the pix was snapped just prior to explosion.
Hope your slow down sign was benign. probably a good sign to heed, especially since it is so thoroughly accompanied by your scripture admonitions and examples. All the best to you and Phil.
I think they caught that bird at just the right moment in time.
Life is too fast Ginny - what was your sign. And if you figure out how to slow it down - let me know - I need to slow down too!
Love, sandie
beautiful trails across the multi colored sky. really pretty. phooey, i thought you did the last one. that is some trail.
these trails just prove our lifestyle is in high gear, on land and sea and in the air. we only see one now and then here, you must be close to a big airport. hope you can figure a way to merge into the slow lane from the fast lane.
The colors in these sky pics are amazing! I could sit for hours looking up at the sky...especially when they're this beautiful!
I believe in signs and try to recognize the one's that come my way.
It is so cool how they can draw on the sky.... The birdie one is great!
I love seeing jet trails. Your photos are beautiful. I remember on 9/11 after I heard that all the planes had been grounded, looking up in the sky knowing that there was not one plane in the sky over the U.S., and consequently no jet trails.
I like the pink trails.
I too love them. They have their own sort of beauty don't you think. Thanks for sharing them today.
Wow - those pictures are amazing!!
Hi Ginny, Well, of course, I was looking at the Pigeons! Ha! Shows where my interests lie. Fun picture! Have a super great day tomorrow!
Well I hope the sign that you and Phil got was a gentle one and not something serious.
Love the pictures of the jet trails especially that last one. Talk about timing taking a picture :)
That pigeon, looks like you photo shop it, It is so funny.
In my old place, we used to lived next door to an Indian temple, and many of my neighbors were Indians. They feed the birds, and I soo got this habit. The pigoens used to bully the sparrows. Now here, the birds are not used to being fed.
The sailors must be of the boat. They have charged the captain and his number two. What has a lot of speculation, that day was the captain's birthday. People wonder if they had a wild drinking party.
Fun variety of trails.
I do hope the two of you are all right.
Oh Ginny...Perfect shot of the pigeon. Boy, it is really leaving a trail!!
You must really close to an airport or a plane trail!
Fabulous shots..
Hugs,
shug
I like jet trails, too...not sure why.
You've got some wonderful pictures of the jet trails. I really like the colors you've captured. That last picture is pretty neat as well.
Those are quite a few jet trails! That pigeon is funny. Hope all is well!
I love watching planes taking off and landing. These are great shots. I love the one that looks like a cross.
Blessings, Joanne
Do you live close to an airport? We get the occasional jet trails here too but never as many as in these pictures of yours. I do hope you're not overdoing things and I wish you the best of luck in finding ways to slow down in a good way!
