The End Of The Road
"I'll tell you how the sun rose a ribbon at a time."
Emily Dickinson
Awhile back, we were traveling on the highway while the sun was setting. It was a stunning sight, making the highway look like a ribbon of light. The pictures would have been much better if we were not moving at a fast pace, but there was nowhere to pull over where it would be visible. So we just continued to drive and snap. The end of the road never looked more inviting. Sometimes the gift you find at the end of things can be amazing.
""Sometimes just looking up and seeing the light is enough."

Your header is gorgeous and so is this series!! I think the ribbon of light is so discriptive..just says it all doesn't it? and I liked your thoughts in closing!

Loved the redness and the orangish hues...
Have a fabulous day Ginny:)

Ginny, you continuously amaze me with your glorious sunset photos. You are always in the perfect place at the right time. I love this set of shots.
Do you think the sun sets more beautifully over "our" state than anywhere else? Of course it does but these are the sunsets of my childhood that you show. Love them!
Best,
Bonnie
Ooops, mean't to say "of course it doesn't"!!

I LOVE pictures of a road or trail fading off into the horizon or into a forest.... I always wonder "what is out there?" and I want to GO THERE to see.

You do see some awesome sunsets, Ginny... We have too many mountains and hills around us to see very many here. AND---we are seldom out and about that time of day.. SO--I'll just enjoy yours.

Hi Ginny, I'd say you specialize in taking pictures of sunsets, sunrises, and the moon! You are a whiz at doing so! Have an excellent day!

I think the pictures are great just as they are. Sometimes you see a scene like this and wish you had a camera. Glad you did this time.
Beautiful photos, but an even more beautiful message. Thank you!
Your pictures are stunning. And the quotes...love the Dickinson quote. And oh, sometimes seeing the light is enough. Especially when it's the Light of the World.
