The End Of The Road

"I'll tell you how the sun rose a ribbon at a time."
Emily Dickinson

Awhile back, we were traveling on the highway while the sun was setting. It was a stunning sight, making the highway look like a ribbon of light. The pictures would have been much better if we were not moving at a fast pace, but there was nowhere to pull over where it would be visible. So we just continued to drive and snap. The end of the road never looked more inviting. Sometimes the gift you find at the end of things can be amazing.

Your header is gorgeous and so is this series!! I think the ribbon of light is so discriptive..just says it all doesn't it? and I liked your thoughts in closing!

Do you think the sun sets more beautifully over "our" state than anywhere else? Of course it does but these are the sunsets of my childhood that you show. Love them!

Best,
Bonnie

I LOVE pictures of a road or trail fading off into the horizon or into a forest.... I always wonder "what is out there?" and I want to GO THERE to see.

You do see some awesome sunsets, Ginny... We have too many mountains and hills around us to see very many here. AND---we are seldom out and about that time of day.. SO--I'll just enjoy yours.
