62

"The day which we fear as our last is but the birthday of eternity"
Seneca

Today I am 62! Some people say they don't like birthdays, I say to consider the alternative! I'm not sure when we will celebrate, tonight I want to get ashes on my forehead with Phil and my friend at her Lutheran church. That makes me feel rather newborn! Perhaps I can get out of cooking tonight, and we will celebrate more fully on the weekend. So for those of you who don't know me yet, here are some pictures. Does anyone remember pinafores? And get that attempt to tease my hair at age 13! Yes, I even have a bow clipped on the side! As a child, I had a diary with a little lock and key. As a young adult, I kept a journal for a few years, but I don't need to anymore, it's already all written down from beginning to end.

"For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139: 13,16

i am so glad you posted these photos. i am laughing. i have one of me in a pinafore JUST like yours and the one with the sweater and beads i have one JUST like yours. if i can find them will send them. we could be peas in a pod. the first 3 years of school, i had 5 dresses like the one you have on, pinafores were big. granddaddy took me shopping and bought 5 dresses for school each year but he died before i went in 4th grade and that stopped. this helps me know more about you.
hugs and birthday blessings
