"...for the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you..." 1 Chron. 28:9
This is the second time I have posted pansies, and I hope it won't be the last. They are such willing photography subjects. Each little face turned upwards, saying "Over here, over here, take MY picture!" The word pansy comes from the French pensee, meaning "thought". This is because the pansy resembles a face, and in August it leans forward as if deep in thought. There is one who knows all our deepest thoughts.
"O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O Lord."Psalm 139:1,4

They are all so beautiful, yet individually unique. The flower heads on mine are so large this year.
These are so beautiful, Ginny. I'm jumping in before I've finished with yesterday's comments Because it really is true that there were Cod Wars. Do a google search. It is amazing how important cod was to the early development of our country. Have a good night. Blessings...Mary
So touching and sweet, Ginny. This is a lovely way to end my day. I'm turning my computer off now. Night, Annie
How refreshing, a wonderful start to my day! The flowers really seem to be deep in thoughts... Wonderful words to go along.
Have a lovely day:)
What pretty little faces, pansies are such cheerful little flowers. I've always liked them because they come in so many different colors.
What a nice way to start the day...
I am always in awe of how God "paints" each pansy so intricately. Thank you for a lovely post, Ginny.
Pansies are one of my favorite flowers. I had no idea what the word meant. I learned something new! :)
The yellow pansies give me fits... I can never get the color or the light right on them.... light reflects so much from their petals that is makes a glare on the camera shot. These are just lovely.
Thank you for such a pensive post! What a stunning variety! They truly are a fun little spring flower, living close to the earth, tucked into corners here and there! Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful flower shots.
Your photos capture their beauty and cheery appeal perfectly. I love pansies but cannot seem to grow them. Thank goodness for a blogger friend who invites me in to visit her virtual flower bed!
Ginny, First off, the pansies are beautiful...my favorite is the white one with the purple veins; STUNNING!!!
I love pansies as well and never knew the word meant thoughtful; umm, thanks for sharing that!
Second, I read the older post about Ella and her Easter candy request...it seems I am never far from prayer these days. Requesting this or that and while I feel greedy I do remember to praise Him...or at least I hope it's enough--finding that balance but the needs are so great right now with so many people, you know?
One of my favorite flowers--the sweet-gaced pansy! Peony is the other.
Best,
Bonnie
What lovely pictures. They put me in such a great mood! Thanks for that. Blessings, Joanne
Ginny, thank you for starting my day in the most beautiful way.
Have a blessed day, Sue
All so beautiful, Ginny. I love pansies too. Sweet little 'faces'!
I am so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who knows me better than I do myself. As i scrolled through these images, the smile grew on my face.I love the cheerful Pansy.
Beautiful! They are one of Beth's favorite flowers.
Hi Ginny, What cheer on a rather gloomy and snowy morning here in TN. Glad to read the Scripture verse too. Have a fantastic day today!
Morning Ginny...
This is my first time to see the pictures of your pansies...Beautiful and so Bright! I didn't plant any this year and now I wish I had...
Always enjoy your scriptures each day. Great job my friend...
sweet Blessings,
shug
Ginny!! I love them all.. so beautiful and colourful.. they really have a awesome colour combination.. God is Great!
Oh my goodness! How I love pansies. They remind me so much of my grandmother. She'd plant them every spring. And I think she probably planted from seedlings. None of this potted plant thing like I do. I wish I could have lived in her generation. Except that I like dentristy of today really well.
i had no idea pansies came in so many colors, these are each and everyone of them, beautiful, thoughtful little faces. I am late today, just getting started reading my friends blogs. we are under tornado warnings and there have been several about 60 miles away from us. dark, dreary but no rain, high winds trying to blow away our tomato plants. been in waiting mode all day. the reason i am late, is we record American Idol, our favorite show, and we watched it this morning, all 2 hours of it starting at 8 am because it was to nasty to go out.
Simply beautiful, Ginny!! I love the purples and yellow especially.
first time here..wow what a colorful space u hav....just amazing ...glad to follow u ...do visit my space whenevr u hav time :-)
Oh Ginny your blog looks so bright and beautiful. It gives me hope that spring and summer are not far away. thank you for your prayers. I know that God hears all..even our tiny groaning.
I love your pictures and this post!! Very sweet!
The pansies are gorgeous. I've always loved them. I remember when I was a kid we had them planted along our driveway. I think I need to get some pansies for my flower bed this year.
They are perfectly beautiful subjects! I enjoyed the way you wove this together- your header and thoughtful post just lifted me up- delightful! Looks like a fairy sprinkled dust!
Love the post - and the thoughtfulness you put into taking the pictures! The Scripture, as usual, fits perfectly.
I love pansies, but they do not do well for me. You have the right touch as yours are lovely. Thanks for the inspiring remarks for today.
What beautiful pansies!!! I love all the pretty colors. I'm so glad God sees our hearts and knows what is inside. This is a great post :)
I have a funny feeling about pansies. Rather silly. A ex MP chose Pansy for her name, and she was pelted with nasty questions like why do you call yourself pancy? Is it you support the pansis?
Such friendly faces on those pansies.
Oh yes. I nearly always have a box of pansies on the balcony in the spring and early summer. Spring is late this year though so have not felt like planting anything yet.
Pansies are truly lovely and a staple in many a flower gardens. They are not only beautiful, but quite hardy. We have them growing here and I enjoy looking at their friendly "faces."
Lovely post - enjoyed the prayer!
I love pansies and you know down here - they are out all winter long - they are very hardy flowers. Yours were beautiful.
